Reasons Why You Must Visit Western Australia During Spring Season

Reasons Why You Must Visit Western Australia During Spring Season
Occupying nearly one-third of the Australian continent, Western Australia is a majestic natural treasure trove, with more than 12,500 kilometres of coastline and the outback of red soil. A beautiful city in harmony with nature and cities, Perth's capital city is a base for adventure journeys in the vast expanse of Western Australia, with access to a wide range of scenic spots.

With the arrival of spring, Western Australia is the perfect place for sightseeing and the best time to enjoy a wide variety of wildflowers. More than 12,000 species of wildflowers grow wild in a diverse natural environment, about 80% of which are endemic to Western Australia. The flowering season, which lasts for about six months, begins in July in the north and can be enjoyed on the south coast and inland until mid-December.

During this season, festivals are held in various places to celebrate the arrival of spring with "wildflowers". In Perth, the provincial capital, there are halfday/multi-day guided tours by tour companies, which offer a great opportunity to observe the most beautiful flowers in each region. Or you can opt to do it by yourself, which is also cool!

In addition to the scenic area where you can encounter wildflowers, here are the things you can do and visit in Western Australia.

Wildflowers Encounter

From July to mid-December, a brilliant floral front moves southward across Western Australia's vast expanse of land, decorating it with a wide variety of flowers, including unique shapes, dainty flowers and carpets that fill the entire surface. Due to the different climates and topography of different regions, there are many different types of wildflowers that grow naturally. There are 11 wildflower trails in the state, including flowers that adorn the dry red earth, flowers that bloom on the coastline, and flowers that bloom in eucalyptus forests. In addition to trekking, self-drive trips are also recommended. Here are some scenic areas where you can encounter wildflowers.
