The concept of the autumn garden is UNITE with traditional culture.
"NAKED GARDEN ONE KYOTO" is an art project planned by the creative company NAKED, INC., which unites Kyoto beyond the boundaries of all genres. The program started in 2022 and is now in its third year. A total of 43 locations, mainly in the Kyoto area, have participated in the program, co-creating events, works, and projects with the people of Kyoto.
The concept of NAKED GARDEN ONE KYOTO 2024 Autumn Season is "UNITE of Traditional Culture". A total of 9 locations participated. There are themes that allow you to feel the traditional culture and history of each place such as the Japanese food at Nijo Castle, gagaku at Nishi Honganji, Noh, ikebana, and Kyoto cuisine at Higashi Honganji, and Japanese candles at Enryakuji Temple on Mt. Hiei, traditional culture and history will be fused with naked art to create a new cultural experience. NAKED, Inc. participated in autumn events at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, Kurotani Kinkomyoji Temple, and Ninnaji Temple, which are famous places where you can feel the tradition of Japan. In addition, to commemorate the autumn garden, Nidec Kyoto Tower will be lit up in red, the theme color of the autumn garden.
Through this art project, the ONE KYOTO Executive Committee, the organizer of the event, will work to promote dispersed tourism at different times and places that will lead to measures against overtourism, which has been particularly important in recent years, by creating nighttime attractions that promotes sightseeing in Kyoto at night using unique venues.

Mt. Hiei Enryakuji Temple

Nishi Honganji Temple
Nishi Honganji Temple is the main temple of the Jodo Shinshu Honganji sect whose founder is Shinran Saint, and this year marks the 30th anniversary of its registration as a World Heritage Site and the 800th anniversary of the founding of Rikkyo. To commemorate this, it has been decided to hold an autumn light-up event at Nishi Honganji Temple, planned and directed by the creative company NAKED, INC.
At this event, you can experience the history and culture of Nishi Honganji Temple by visiting the national treasure Mikagedo decorated with digital art, and the national treasure Hiunkaku, which is usually closed to the public, with the artistic lantern "NAKED Distance Lantern R", which is popular at NAKED events. In addition to regular tickets, we also offer special experiences that allow you to learn more about Nishi Honganji Temple in early autumn, such as a special public set ticket that allows you to enter the National Treasure Shoin, which is usually closed to the public, and a premium ticket to enjoy digital art and tea experience at Hiunkaku.

Nidec Kyoto Tower
Standing at 131 meters, Nidec Kyoto Tower is the tallest structure in Kyoto, a city known for its ancient temples and shrines. Located just north of Kyoto Station, you can’t miss this impressive tower when you exit the station. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to experience a different side of Kyoto.
On October 25, the tower will be lit up to commemorate the NAKED Garden One Kyoto 2024 Festival.

Kitano Tenmangu Shrine
"Historic Site Odoi Momijien Special Light Up"

The Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is a shrine built in the northwest section of Kyoto over 1000 years ago. The shrine was built in 947AD by the emperor of the time in honor of Sugawara no Michizane, a scholar and politician who represented the middle Heian period (794 AD – 1185 AD), as well as for the peace of the nation. Ever since, the imperial family, nobles, samurai, and commoners alike all visit the shrine to worship.

Mt. Hieiyama Sakamoto
"NAKED Yosanpo ™ Hieiyama Sakamoto"
The scenery as viewed from Mt. Hiei is also absolutely stunning. The 360-degree panorama close to the summit allows sprawling Lake Biwa to be seen in the east, while the former capital of Kyoto lies in the west. There are also a number of spots with stunning scenery on the mountain itself, including Yumemigaoka and Tosendai, and numerous observation platforms. The night scenery along the driveway road is also quite fantastic.

Kurodani, Konkai-Komyoji Temple
"Autumn Special Visit"
Organizer: Kurotani Kinkomyoji Temple
Was founded in 1175, and is one of the eight head temples of the JHODO sect, the major Buddhist denomination, and is located in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto.
The precincts of the Kurodani include the site where HONEN, the founder of the Jodo sect, stayed with his lifelong follower Shinku after leaving the mountain HIEIZAN in 1175 to proclaim his new Pure Land teaching.
The original temple was the two storied-villa owned by the most influential aristocrat, FUJIWARA Akitoki, who was the grandfather of Shinku.

Natani-ji Temple (Natadera) in Komatsu City
NAKED, INC. will hold the autumn foliage night walk event "NAKED Yosanpo ™ Ishikawa / Natani-ji" at Natani-ji Temple in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture At this event, artist Ryotaro Muramatsu's participatory art "DANDELION PROJECT" will be exhibited, connecting the world with prayers for peace, which has been exhibited in 61 locations around the world. Through the experience of this work, participants will deliver prayers for the restoration and reconstruction of Noto to the Noto region.
